Jen Esch
Family Health & Wellness

My career in caring and working with children and families began when I was very young. First, as a mother's helper, then babysitter, then legal guardian, which all lead to college and graduate degrees in Child Development, Family Studies, and Special Education. I completed my undergraduate work at West Virginia University and received my Masters degree from American University in Washington, DC. I have had the opportunity to work, teach, and train at two of the finest Special Education Schools on the East Coast; The Lab School of Washington and The Summit School in Edgewater, MD.

In 2000, our first son was born and at 8 months old I knew something was wrong, developmentally he was showing signs of delay and splintered skills. At 18 months old he was diagnosed with PDD. We were put in contact with one of the leading Developmental Pediatricians on the East Coast and began healing our son's gut through diet, nutrition and supplements. And as we healed his gut his developmental progress began to soar. Through alternative, holistic and natural therapies, treatments, testing, etc our son continued to maintain and achieve steady and mostly neurotypical milestones. It was through this experience, that my passion and drive to help others find alternative resources for healing and development, became my life's mission!

In 2005, I branched and served as director to The Tidewater School by the Sea (the sister school of the original Tidewater School in Calvert County MD). I have worked in local schools as an Educational Specialist, to implement and support discipline and curriculum changes.

Over the years, I have attended and accrued valuable experience, training, and certificates in many topics. I have a whole-being approach. Meaning emotional, physical, and psychological well-being are all intertwined and must be seen as parts to the whole!

In May 2018 I will be returning to school to acquire my Doctorate of Naturapathy, from Trinity School of Natural Health. My passion to guide and encourage families to function fully and positively, has driven me to seek continuous training, and research in many topics.

OTR/L, Ana Curtin CCC-SLP.

I have been happily married to Don Esch since 1998! We have seven children (3 birth and 4 adopted, ages 7 to 17), one dog, two cats, and several chickens.

When I am not "working", I enjoy most days with music in the background and any time with my family, especially on the beach!
